Matthew Zeltzer

23 Apr Matthew Zeltzer

Fall of 2013 finds Matthew Zeltzer back where he is comfortable- on the road, solo, for weeks on end. Following the late 2011 release of “Desert Tortoise,” described as “alt-country meets folk infused indie-rock,” (Celia Hassan, thatgroovemachine.com), California songwriter, Matthew Zeltzer, toured the west coast at a frantic pace, culminating in the formation of Zeltzer and the Tortoise in the fall of 2012. Following the demise of the Tortoise, Zeltzer retreated to the mountains of northern California, writing a batch of some the deepest, most reflective material he has ever attempted.  Zeltzer has been fortunate to play with great touring acts like The White Buffalo, The Milk Carton Kids, Emy Reynolds, Worth, Tall Tales and the Silver Lining, John Courage and the Great Plains, Skyline Drive, Dan Grimm, Calico, The American Bloomers, and many more.
